Jocelyn was such and important part of my pregnancy and birth experience! She is an endless source of knowledge and is well connected to the birthing community. Throughout the whole experience I truly felt like I was very important to her and she embraced the plan I wanted and never pushed me to go outside of my comfort zone. She answered every I had during pregnancy (yes, all of them), she helped me create my birth plan (even through pandemic), she provided so much comfort through my labor and even acted as my birth photographer! I know that hiring her also took a great deal of pressure off of my husband.
Jocelyn, thank you for the preparation and support that led to such a beautiful birth! During labor everything you said gave me strength and your touch throughout contractions provided so much comfort. I truly cannot say thank you enough. You provided peace in what could have been a very stressful environment. I am certain it was your support that made my birth experience so wonderful.

She clarified every single one of my pregnancy related doubts and made both myself and my husband feel empowered, motivated and educated. As my Doula, she was there for me every step of the way, she was always available and quick to respond with insightful and well researched information. She helped us achieve our dream birth without ever passing any judgment. Prior to delivery, she met with us multiple times, and provided us with endless recommendations far beyond what you would expect. She helped us understand the hospital system and how to achieve our goals. She even recommended the best prenatal acupuncturist and an integrative pediatrician for our son (also the best).
At the hospital, she created a warm, inviting and peaceful space. She set the tone with ambient lighting, music, movement and the sweetest words of encouragement. Our son was born into a happy and relaxed room that had the highest vibes in great part because of her. She was such an integral part of the birth that our very traditional OBGYN even asked for her contact information after the birth to recommend to her patients.
We remain friends and she continues to be someone I trust wholeheartedly with any matters related to pregnancy and parenting.

Jocelyn was my doula for my daughters birth in early 2018. I relied on her a lot because I knew my husband would be absent for the birth and I wanted someone in the room who could help me and get through the most difficult and scariest thing I’d ever imagined. She basically became my go-to for all things calm in the last weeks of my pregnancy. During the birth she kept me relaxed, focused and breathing (yes breathing!). I could not have asked for a better person to have in the room. She also made home visits in the weeks after to ensure I was adjusting alright to new motherhood. Im constantly recommending her to others because she is just so awesome. She’s and amazing person inside and out and I’m blessed to have had her as my doula and now as a friend.

How do I begin describing my experience with the incredibly talented and knowledgeable woman who helped me safely and comfortably bring my daughter into this world? Let me start by saying that my only regret is that I did not find Jocelyn sooner! We met Jocelyn at a “speed dating for doulas” event and my husband and I instantly liked her and her aura. She has a calming presence to her and you just feel comfortable with her from the start. So our journey with Jocelyn began 1 month before I was due and I’m so thankful for her. She helped me with reading recommendations based on my preferences and helped me decide on exactly what kind of birth I wanted and supported me in everything. Jocelyn wrote up my birth plan to give to the doctors and nurses and was an advocate for me in the hospital when I didn’t always understand what was going on.
My number one goal was to have a vaginal birth and even after FOUR DAYS of literally trying everything to induce labor (I had gestational diabetes, so induction was recommended at 39 weeks), I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl the way I wanted to and not via c-section. With Jocelyn’s wisdom, encouragement, support, tips, tricks, foot massages and TENS machine to help with the contraction pain, I was able to get through those four long and exhausting days until it was time to PUSH for my life, literally. I am so beyond grateful for my experience with Jocelyn and would recommend her to anyone that wants a knowledgeable advocate for them during labor and delivery and the days, weeks, months leading up to it. With her being there, it took so much pressure off of my husband, mom and sister to just focus on me and to not have to worry as much.
Another great aspect with Jocelyn is that she only takes one client at a time and ensures she’ll be around for possible labor date ahead of time. And she was always responsive, at any time of day or night!
My baby girl is now 19 months and Jocelyn still checks in with us to this day. She will always be a part of the most important event of my life. Thank you Jocelyn from the bottom of our hearts!
